The Antlered Shadowman

Today’s mystery is about the antlered shadow man who has been appearing in family photos since photography was first invented!

First discovered in a photo in 1853, in Western Europe, the Henderson family at first thought it was merely a trick of the light. Perhaps some sort of shadow illusion by a nearby branch out of the window.

But as time marched on, this mysterious and rather unsettling figure, showed up repeatedly and now all over the world!

Is he benevolent or malevolent? That’s what the families wanted to know when they discovered his shadowy presence in their family memories.

Below is a small collection of his sightings.

So you might be uncomfortable now. How frightening it is, you say!

But fear not, because that shadow figure is just Dan, a good friend of mine. He was the very first  “photobomber”! Spying from the Folk Realm, he cast his shadows into the lenses of unsuspecting photographers.

—Dan believes he’s rather clever. I highly doubt he’ll stop anytime soon.—
