The War Unicorn, Ares
Today I will discuss the magnificent and terrifying war unicorn, Ares. –Or was that his name? I’m certain he was named after the Greek god of war! – or was the Greek God named after him? And it was Greek, wasn’t it?– but I digress.
Ares was a powerful and massive unicorn, born eons ago in the mountainous valley of Einhorna. He grew in ranks and fought many battles, defeating dragons, mages, ogres, and more!
Once, in a life or death battle, he stabbed his mighty horn through his arch nemesis’ chest, and straight into a tree!
They say that the tree is now cursed, imbued with the magical fury of the unicorn and the blood of a sworn enemy. That this tree can produce the fruit of life or death, but that’s a whole other story.
Ares eventually retired, settling down somewhere near the Black Forest of Spirits. No one has seen him in many years. I wonder what he’s up to now?
