Floorboard Discovery #1
Have you ever found something peculiar under a floorboard in your attic? If so, then you might find this relatable. But if not, then why are you even reading this?
As I was saying, quite some time ago, I was doing a bit of spring cleaning. As I brought up a rather large box full of an assortment of mischievous imp costumes, I tripped on a loose board which had bent upwards. It was mid summer and the rain had been awful, the high humidity was likely the culprit of the bent board. But I digress, I tripped, fell, and my costumes flew across the attic in a mess, which is why they aren’t organized neatly as one might expect.
I attempted to push down the board only for it to comically spring back up, walloping me straight on my nose! So I ripped up the board, as anyone would, only to discover a golden box inside.
Given my dealing with unscrupulous characters, I was immediately suspicious. So I quickly opened it to see what was inside!
Inside was a plain white flower petal which unexpectedly blew away when the attic vents burst open with a sudden windy gust! Despite my valiant efforts to retrieve it, the petal flew straight up the vent and drifted away across the pink summer sky.
But I’m quite sure it wasn’t anything of interest, though. Truly, how important could a flower petal really be?
