Wippos & Pickles

It’s come to my attention that not everyone is familiar with the existence of the Wippohead, one of the few biologically-herbivore shark breeds from the islands of Guatain.

Wippoheads, or Wippos as they are more lovingly known, are hatched along the warm shores of tropical beaches. They are creamy white and bare a striking resemblance to their Great White cousins, however Wippos grow no longer than 1.5 meters, nose to tail.

But what is most interesting about Wippos, is their peculiar and particular diet. They survive on pickles, and I don’t mean the sea variant.

No, they chomp and guzzle down fermented cucumbers that are blown off of the nearby vines and roll down into the ocean, only to get stuck in the warm, shallow, and salty tide pools. These cucumbers could ferment anywhere from an hour to days, leaving them with a distinct salty crunch.

At least Wippos aren’t too fussy on the type. –although they do tend to prefer dill flavoured–

So the next time you see a shark that you can’t identify, try offering it a pickle; and if you’re in luck, it’ll be a Wippohead.
